This photo frame was originally made as a christmas gift that had to be brought back to Toronto in my luggage from Vancouver. The frame was designed to disassemble/reassemble fairly easily to allow for easier shipping. As a result, the frame became lighter looking and visually airy, while still maintaining the hard-line framing aspect of traditional photo frames.

The Frame is constructed of MDF painted black with aluminum rods connecting each frame. Each individual frame has a 1/8″ thick piece of acrylic sheet. The outer frame joins at the corners with a half-lap joint connected by Murakashi bolts.

The entire frame measure 56″ across and 20″ in height. There are six 4″ x 6″ frames, four 5″ x 7″ frames, and the central 8″ x 10″ frame.
